Rest in peace Joan Dregne (nee Kitko), age 80, passed away on June 10, 2022. Cherished daughter of the late Anna and Joseph. Beloved sister of James (deceased) Kitko (Noreen), Maxine Pozna (Ray, deceased) and Clare Grobelny (Richard, deceased). Loving mother to Eric (Lizz). Dear grandmother of Elizabeth Wolterbeek (Kristy). Caring aunt of Scott, Jody, Stacy, Richard, Jimmy, Michelle, Michael, Kevin and Dennis. Great-aunt and great-great-aunt. Joanie was born in Cleveland, deeply rooted in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood for nearly all of her years. She was a 1959 graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School and President of the Rhodes Elvis Club. As a founding member of St. Leo's Parish community, Joanie participated in the vocal choir, bell choir and was involved in various parish functions and committees all of her life. Joanie worked as a secretary for the Elco Corporation, Cleveland State University and the Cleveland Clinic, receiving many awards for her friendly attitude and dedicated work ethic. She cherished all the members of her family, especially her mother, sisters and her son, Eric, whose musical career she encouraged and followed. She was a Sinatra fan, but especially fond of Tom Jones and Johnny Mathis. After retiring, Joan liked to travel and took long road trips with her friends. But best of all, Joan loved to relax in a comfortable robe and slippers, watching classic movies on TV while eating fudge-striped cookies and Mike & Ike candies. She was never one to miss Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. Joanie will be remembered by everyone she met for her feisty, funny, caring, supportive and loving personality. Rest in peace William E. Rebello, lived his life with faith and generosity, and died peacefully in Parma, Ohio at the age 87 on April 22nd, 2022. His legacy was his family and his ten grandchildren that loved him so much. William was a devoted husband to Amelia (nee Sorg), and a beloved father of Will (Brooke), Max (Larisa), Amrit, and Sunil. He was a proud grandfather to Will, Dillon, Benjamin, Chase, Ashley, Elias, Ariel, Ariana, Gabriella and Grayson. William also was a loving older brother to Dennis, Albert, Joseph and Teresa (Dias). In addition, he will be greatly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents (Conception and Remedios Rebello), sisters (Ann and Agnes), and brothers (Francis Cardoza, S.J., Max, and Alex).
William was born in Mangalore, India and spent his formative years there. As a young man, William was an athlete (playing soccer, cricket, and excelling in field hockey), and a budding musician. He also was multilingual and a scholar in Church history. This deep sense of spirituality led him to study theology, receiving his Bachelor of Divinity in the 1960s and was in the Jesuit Order for nearly twenty years, including being an ordained priest. He completed his MBA at St. Louis University, Missouri and then lectured at Ashland College, Ohio.
William was highly regarded for the compassion and comfort that he brought others during their time of bereavement. He was gifted in supporting others through their period of grief and used his talent and training as a trusted Sales Counsellor for Brooklyn Heights Cemetery and Mausoleum for forty years.
William enjoyed his leisure time with his family, cooking, volunteering in his church, and cheering on his beloved Cleveland’s sports teams.
Family and friends may pay their respects at Yurch Funeral Home at 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio on Thursday April 28th from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 29th at 10 am at St. Leo’s the Great Parish (4940 Broadview Road, Cleveland 44109), with interment to follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Leo the Great Parish in Cleveland, Ohio.

Rest in Peace Anna Mae Stalder
Rest in peace Anna Mae Stalder, beloved Great Grannie Annie, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 23. She was born in 1929 near Kamm's Corner, at the home of her parents Frank (d. 1950), a Cleveland police officer, and Helen (d. 1989). She eloped and married the love of her life, Clifford E. Stalder (d. 1981) in January, 1949.
Annie had a rebellious, but joyful spirit and was loved by all. A born Clevelander, she was an avid Indians fan. She was also proud of her Irish heritage. Throughout her adult life, Annie was a Wednesday Ladies bowler and earned many trophies. Annie traveled the world and visited Ireland, Hawaii, Italy, France, Switzerland, and England. As an empty-nester, Annie enjoyed 20+ years as your friendly "Popcorn Lady" at AMC.
Her family was her greatest joy. Children: Debra (d. 1950), Clifford, Peggy (David), Craig (Karen), Barbara (David), Terry (Julie) and Elizabeth (Tom). Grandchildren: Casey, Matt, Andrew, Jenna, Brian, Carlin, Emily, Louis, Lizzy, Bradley, Sarah, Emma, Caleb and Vivienne. Great Grandchildren: Justin, Alec, Chloe, Elliot, Sadie, Henry, Logan, Bowie, Tristan, Arlo, Niahm, Jenny, Jude, Vann, Irving, Vira, Ivette, Kate, Mary, and Eleanor. Great-Great Grandchildren: Landon and Chandler.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday April 2, 11 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4940 Broadview Road, Cleveland, OH 44109.
