Beautiful Poem by a Parishioner

GOD’S BEAUTY

Here I sit amidst the beauty of God.

I hear the sweet melodies of the song birds, the

honks of the geese. I watch the ripples of the pond

spread out before me going on into infinity.

As I commune with nature I to commune with God.

His presence, peace and glory are in everything I see.

Even on this rainy cloudy day, the clouds will pass away,

And the beauty of a bright blue sky, and the sun will

Shine again. Just as God has not always promised us a

bright sunny day, he is with us always. And these sad

uncertain times we are in will come to pass too. Look to

God for he will give you strength to whether the storm.

God will bring back the joy. So sit still meditate look at

nature, there you will find comfort and peace, rest awhile.

In these uncertain times and always may God’s peace, comfort, and love flow upon you.

Welcome Linda Anderson!

A bright spot in the darkness of the COVID-19 virus was the opportunity to receive Linda Anderson into the Catholic Church at the “private” Mass I celebrated on Monday, March 23rd. Linda also received the Sacrament of Confirmation and received her First Holy Communion at this same Mass.

Interestingly, a number of months ago Linda brought me a statue of the infant Jesus that she found many years ago at a garage sale. It was a large one (about 18 inches) and had it stored in her garage until she found a good home for it. After forgetting about it for a number of years, she found it & decided it needed a good home so she brought it to us. We had it in front of the altar for Christmas, 2019, surrounded by candles and poinsettias. We are grateful that Linda gave it to us where it has found a good home.

We welcome Linda (whose Confirmation name is Mary) and we thank Mania Komm for being her sponsor.
