Rest in Peace William E. Rebello
Rest in peace William E. Rebello, lived his life with faith and generosity, and died peacefully in Parma, Ohio at the age 87 on April 22nd, 2022. His legacy was his family and his ten grandchildren that loved him so much. William was a devoted husband to Amelia (nee Sorg), and a beloved father of Will (Brooke), Max (Larisa), Amrit, and Sunil. He was a proud grandfather to Will, Dillon, Benjamin, Chase, Ashley, Elias, Ariel, Ariana, Gabriella and Grayson. William also was a loving older brother to Dennis, Albert, Joseph and Teresa (Dias). In addition, he will be greatly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents (Conception and Remedios Rebello), sisters (Ann and Agnes), and brothers (Francis Cardoza, S.J., Max, and Alex).
William was born in Mangalore, India and spent his formative years there. As a young man, William was an athlete (playing soccer, cricket, and excelling in field hockey), and a budding musician. He also was multilingual and a scholar in Church history. This deep sense of spirituality led him to study theology, receiving his Bachelor of Divinity in the 1960s and was in the Jesuit Order for nearly twenty years, including being an ordained priest. He completed his MBA at St. Louis University, Missouri and then lectured at Ashland College, Ohio.
William was highly regarded for the compassion and comfort that he brought others during their time of bereavement. He was gifted in supporting others through their period of grief and used his talent and training as a trusted Sales Counsellor for Brooklyn Heights Cemetery and Mausoleum for forty years.
William enjoyed his leisure time with his family, cooking, volunteering in his church, and cheering on his beloved Cleveland’s sports teams.

Have a Heart, Lend a Hand, Thank you
Thanks to everyone who donated so generously to the 2022 Have a Heart, Lend a Hand Lenten program during Lent. The support from the St. Leo community is extremely gratifying and far exceeded previous years. The spirit of Christ is most definitely alive and well at St. Leo's. And thanks to all who helped to sort and deliver donations to the 12 organizations we supported this year.
