Happy Mothers Day!

There is no love, like a mother’s love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother’s love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother’s love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they’ve done.

When her days on earth are over,
a mother’s love lives on...
through many generations,
with God’s blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

Rest In Peace Dorothy Forister

Dorothy L. Forister (nee Kappler) (nee Reisinger) entered into eternai life on May 1, 2020. Dorothy was a member of St. Leo Parish beginning in 1956, when she and her first husband, Robert Kappler Sr. (deceased) bought their first home. They raised their two children, Judy Ladaika (Michael Sr.) and Robert Jr. in the parish. Dorothy was a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother and could be counted on to transport one or two of the sisters on errands for the convent. Dorothy married William Forister (deceased) in 1995 and they moved to St. Ambrose Parish in Brunswick. In 2014 Dorothy moved back to St. Leo Parish. In addition to being a mother of two, Dorothy was a grandmother of 5, a great-grandmother of 17, a dear sister, aunt and friend of many. Dorothy loved to sing and dance. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross cemetery. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Leo Parish at a later date.
